Bueno... Nous avons passé le mois de Mars au Costa Rica a vadrouiller entre les paresseux de la cote Pacifique et les paresseux de la cote caraïbe. Nous qui voulions absolument en voir, on a eu tout un spectacle...un spectacle au ralenti... faudrait pas aller trop vite quand même!!
Pendant la première semaine, nous avions trouver un petit paradis juste après la frontière du Nicaragua: la plage d'El Jobo. Nous avons camper la avec Alex et Claire (un autre couple de Français qui voyage en Landcruiser et avec qui on zig zag depuis quelques temps), quelques locaux, un troupeau de vaches et un gang de capucins....la vie est dure!
El Jobo, la plage comme le village nous a bien plu et c'est la qu'on a rencontré Mathilde et son voilier, une Française expatriée au Costa Rica, qui nous fera revenir ici en Septembre...on vous en parlera plus tard.
Le centre du Costa Rica est hyper vert, plutôt humide et volcanique. A part le coté volcanique, certaines parties ressemble a Plougastel, il y a même des cultures de fraises comme à la maison!
On a choisit un volcan (il fallait bien en choisir un! ): le Poas, toujours en activité mais qui a l'air très calme. Le cratère a plus une couleur de lait que de lave, plutôt étonnant ! Surtout quand on sait que quelques semaines après notre visite, le volcan est entré en éruption.
Dans le centre du pays, un des trucs qui nous avons le plus aimé, c'est "El paraiso des las ranas", le paradis des grenouilles: un biologiste de formation a transformé une partie de la ferme familiale de cœurs de palmiers en un sanctuaire protégé ou les grenouilles viennent s'installer volontiers. Certaines ne sont pas plus grosses que notre petit doigt de pied, certaines ont la peau transparente et on peut voir leur cœur battre et certaines sont peinturlurées comme si elles allaient au carnaval de Rio! Un endroit génial!!
Coté Caraïbe à Cahuita, la faune et flore est aussi extrêmement riche! C'est un peu ça qu'on était venu chercher au Costa Rica et on a pas était déçus!
Et même si il y a beaucoup de photos d'animaux, on a aussi passé du temps avec les Ticos (les Costa Ricains), des personnes adorables dont Avelina et sa famille qui nous ont accueillis et fait découvrir les bons plans de San José...Muchas gracias!!
Bueno ... We spent the month of March in Costa Rica, wandering between the sloth of the Pacific coast and the sloth of the Caribbean coast. We absolutely wanted to see some and we had a whole show ... a slow-motion show ... not too fast !!
During the first week, we found a little paradise right after the border of Nicaragua: El Jobo beach. We camped with Alex and Claire (another couple of French people traveling in a Landcruiser and with whom we travelled for some time) and shared the beach with few locals, a herd of cows and a gang of monkeys .... life is hard!
We liked the beach and the village of El Jobo where we met Mathilde and her sailboat, a French expatriate in Costa Rica, who will bring us back here in September ... we will tell you later about that.
Costa Ricacenter is very green, rather humid and volcanic. Apart from the volcanic side, some parts look like Britanny where we are from, there is even strawberry crops like at home!
We chose a volcano (we had to choose one!): The Poas, still active but looks very calm. The crater has more of a milk color than a lava color, rather amazing! Especially when we know that a few weeks after our visit, the volcano erupted.
In the country center, one of the thing we liked the most is "El paraiso des las ranas", Frogs's paradise: a former biologist has transformed part of his family farm, into a protected sanctuary where frogs come to settle. Some are not bigger than our little finger, some have transparent skin and we can see their heart beating and some are painted as if they were going to the Rio carnival! A great place !!
The caribbean side in Cahuita, fauna and flora are also extremely rich! This is why we came to Costa Rica and we were not disappointed!
Although there are lots of pictures of animals, we also spent time with "Ticos", adorable people (Costa Ricans) including Avelina and his family who welcomed us and made discover San José. .Muchas gracias !!
